E humuhumu kakou! Let's sew!
Besides, my basic sewing classes offered on Monday evenings via Newport News parks and rec, I also offer basic, intermediate, and advanced sewing classes at my studio in the Mariner Building on Warwick Boulevard.
My mission is to teach and inspire children and adults to sew in a fun and relaxing atmosphere. My philosophy is not only to perpetuate sewing as an art and lifetime skill, but also to foster creativity and confidence. I have had many satisfied students. Come join us!
Students first learn the fundamentals of sewing, fabric variations, basic stitches, and understand patterns. The first project is an easy to sew project. Next, the focus moves onto apparel where students learn more intermediate to advanced techniques, such as inserting darts, zippers, facing, hems, and fittings. From there, we move onto much more! Advanced sewing in pattern making, serger lessons, and more are also available.
AVAILABLE STUDIO CLASSES:
