I offer "Sewing for Kids" and "Mom and Me" sewing
classes via the Newport News Department of
Parks, Recreation, and Tourism .
 
I welcome both male and female students aged 6 and
over. Classes are currently in session for the winter quarter.
 
I do offer more classes at my studio in the Mariner Building
across CNU on Warwick Blvd.
 
Sewing machine is provided, but if you/your child
has one that is functional, then please feel free
to bring it. Supply list is pattern from approved
list, fabric, pins will colored ball tips, pin cushion,
loaded bobbin, and notions. I will provide class
community supply of fabric scissors, seam gauge,
measuring tape, etc. Adults/parents may stay
during class times for ther child(ren).

"Sewing for Kids" and "Mom and Me" classes will be
held at the Denbigh Community Center on Monday evenings.

Tabloid of all classes offered are available
online at http://www.nnparks.com/tabloid.php and for
pick up at Newport News Public Libraries and at Parks,
Recreation, & Tourism facilities.

Register by mail (form is in tabloid), online via
ActiveNet (added service fee), or by phone using

My students have made bags, curtains, aprons, dresses, lounge pants, and more. I've taught to boys, girls, men, and women. Come join the fun!
   
 
I am currently the only teacher/instructor in the Hampton Roads area who teaches to children, teens, and adults using the Kids Can Sew & Fashion Design program and the You Can Make It program. Learn using professional programs with successful, progressive curriculums. I am also the only person in our area who teaches Hawaiian quilting.
 
I do offer Other Services and Sew-cials (sewing parties) for your group and for birthday parties. Please inquire for more information. Thanks and happy sewing!
