Church/ School/ Scout Workshops
 
 
'Ohana Arts Studio has developed affordable projects in support of various youth groups, school, church, and homeschooling activities. We offer workshops and special events in hula and Polynesian culture, etiquette, foreign language, and sewing. Information on our sewing workshops is below. Please contact me for more information regarding our other workshops and special events. Mahalo (Thanks)!

Workshops are held at your location. We are available to come to your site based on our schedule. Safety protocols to prevent the spread of COVID 19 will be followed. Our staff will wear masks. It is optional for participants. 

We require a 50% deposit for all reservations. 
 
 
SEWING WORKSHOPS
 
We offer 5 options:
 
Option 1: 'I Can Machine Sew' Workshop
 
Price is $65 per person for 4 hours of instruction. Student must bring and use their operable sewing machine, thread, bobbin, 1 yard of cotton or cotton blend fabric (please wash, dry, and iron before class), an 18" by 18" pillow form, and pins and pin cushion. Classroom sewing supplies are provided during class, such as scissors and marking tools.

This workshop is geared for children aged 6 and over who have never sewn on a sewing machine before and has a great desire to learn. Student will learn how to make a simple square pillow using our very own pattern. A hands-on class for groups of 10 or less. Student will learn to make a basic square pillow using our studio's pattern. This workshop will also cover basic sewing skills, including how to sew straight, measuring, cutting, and sewing safety.
 

Option 2: Project Workshop

Price is $65 per person for 4 hours of instruction. Student must bring and use their operable sewing machine, thread, bobbin, 1 yard of cotton or cotton blend fabric (please wash, dry, and iron before class), and pins and pin cushion. Classroom sewing supplies are provided during class, such as scissors and marking tools.

Option 3: "I Can Hand Sew" Workshop

Price is $45 per person for 4 hours of instruction. Sewing supplies are provided.

For scouts ages 6 and over. A hand sewing class for groups of 8 or less. This two−hour program teaches basic hand stitching using needle, thread, and felt.  Kids will learn various basic stitching plus how to sew on a button while making their projects.
 
Option 4: "Sew Your Badges and Patches Workshop"
 
This is a workshop geared solely for learning basic machine sewing skills to sew on badges and patches that you bring onto your vest or sash. $30 per person for 4 hours of sewing time. 

Option 5: Personalized Workshop
